Class Officer ExpectationsTake Initiative: Class officers must notice what needs to be done and take action while encouraging others to participate.
Active Participation: Class officers should attend and participate in all group meetings and activities.
Constructive Contribution: Class officers should be willing to work to improve the quality of activities, foster creativity in their grade, bring unique skills and abilities to help their classmates, and provide leadership.
Supported Group Process: Class officers must be willing to talk to their classmates and respect the viewpoints and input of others. They must take care to make room for quiet members and to try not to overshadow others. Class officers must understand that we must all work together to make CHS the best it can be. Class officers must be willing to maintain a positive attitude to enhance the group process and climate of our school.
Communication: Class officers will check in with group and advisors before missing a meeting, keep communication channels open among group members, help other students feel comfortable participating in the process, and speak/listen effectively and respectfully.
Commitment & Effort: Class officers should always follow through on assigned tasks, be accountable to group members, and work consistently to meet group expectations.
CHS Class Officer Responsibilities
*Model upstanding character as a CHS representative at all times
*Attend class officer and student council meetings on a regular basis.
*Attend and support all class-sponsored activities.
*Actively participate in spirit days and pep rallies to encourage peer participation and increase class spirit.
*Officers exhibiting conduct unbecoming a class officer will be excused from their post and a new officer appointed by the class sponsors.
