Hello!  My name is Cheryl Lynchard. I have been a Para Professional for over 20 years. I love my job and the amazing special-needs children/young adults that I have the opportunity to work with.  I spent those years here in Cherokee at both the Elementary School and the High School.  During the 2021-2022 school year, I was honored to receive the ParaProfessional of the Year Award.  I am an avid nature enthusiast, and was fortunate to be able to create a bird habitat here at Cherokee High School, that all of our students have come to enjoy as well.  While at the Elementary School, I was part of the Green Team that started a flower/ vegetable garden.  I have also been very involved with both schools' recycling programs.  My husband, Tim and I have lived in this community for over 30 years. We have two amazing sons that graduated from Cherokee, and have one beautiful granddaughter that we are so proud of.
